Let’s get paired.

Step 1 of 8

Place both earbuds in the charging case. Connect the case to power, close the lid, and wait 30 minutes.

Step 2 of 8

Open the lid. Press and hold the initialise button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the indicator flashes blue twice repeatedly, then orange.

Step 3 of 8

Release the button within 5 seconds of the orange flashing starting.

Step 4 of 8

Watch the indicator to confirm:

• If it flashes green four times, the reset is complete.
• If it doesn't, the earbuds weren't initialised — try again from step 3.

Step 5 of 8

Close the lid, then open it again.

Step 6 of 8

Press and hold the button on the back of the case for about 10 seconds, until the indicator flashes blue. The earbuds are now in pairing mode — release the button.

Step 7 of 8

On your phone or tablet, open Bluetooth settings:

• If your old WF-1000XM5 entry appears, tap to forget it.
• If it doesn't appear, continue to the next step.

Step 8 of 8

Tap WF-1000XM5 in your Bluetooth settings to connect.
