Cancellation policy

SoundBird offers advanced "Purchase Options" in the form of a Reservations system. This system allows you to secure out-of-stock or high-demand replacement components before they arrive in our standard inventory. This policy outlines your right to cancel or modify a reservation.

1. What a reservation entails

When you opt to reserve a component, it indicates that we do not have physical stock on our shelves, but possess a verified route to acquire it. By finalizing your purchase, you authorize us to source a genuine unit specifically for your order. Because of this, reservations are paid in full at the time of checkout.

2. Your right to cancel a reservation

  • Pre-procurement (full refund): You can cancel your reservation for an immediate, 100% full refund at any time before we have actually purchased the item from our suppliers. If you change your mind early on, simply email us at contact@soundbird.co.uk and we will void the order and return your money instantly.
  • Post-procurement: Once we have bought your specific unit from the manufacturer or distributor and it enters our processing queue, the reservation cannot be canceled mid-transit. However, you lose absolutely nothing: as soon as the item is delivered to your door, your standard consumer rights apply in full, and you are welcome to send it back under our normal 30-day return policy.

3. Sourcing failure protections

Our standard timeline to source, test, and ship a reserved item is 5 to 10 business days. However, supply chains can occasionally experience unexpected disruption. If a part is discontinued by a manufacturer, or if we hit a logistics issue that prevents us from shipping your reserved unit within 30 days of your checkout date, we will reach out and issue an automatic, full refund. We will never leave your capital locked up indefinitely.

4. Post-delivery warranty rights

Once your reserved part is successfully shipped out to you, it gains full coverage under our normal post-purchase policies. Your 30-day discretionary return window and your 3-month protection period under The SoundBird Guarantee both kick off on the exact day your parcel is delivered to your address.
